Modes, Savings, Crops & Requirements

With advanced AI, Hyperspectral Cameras and Ultra Fast Processing on each unit, you'll be amazed at what you can achieve with Smart Striker X

Spot Spray

Accurate and quick decisions by Smart Striker X switch on individual nozzles or multiple nozzles to spray weeds with precision.

Ideal for Green on Brown/Green on Green where specific weeds are being targeted

Dual Spray

Applies a blanket rate across the whole boom. Where weeds are detected the rate increase to a pre determined set point on those specific nozzles. *Note, not all spray systems support this mode

Modulation

Adjustable rates per nozzle depending on what has been seen. E.g. flat rate along the boom, large weeds seen go to increased rate, smaller weeds lower rate. (set by user) *Note, that not all spray systems support this mode.

Requirements

Fast Nozzle Valve Switching for Spot Spraying To optimize spot spraying, sprayers must be equipped with fast-reacting nozzles. These nozzles need to quickly and accurately deliver the required dose. The use of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology is essential for precise control, ensuring the exact amount of product is applied in the shortest possible time when a nozzle is activated.

Good Boom Leveling for Effective Weed Detection For the Smart Striker X and its technology to function effectively and efficiently, stable boom leveling is essential. Why Boom Leveling Matters: 1. Optimized Camera Performance: The Smart Striker X’s camera system relies on capturing clear, undistorted images of the ground and crop. Unstable or poorly leveled booms can cause vibrations or tilting, leading to blurred or misaligned images, which reduces the accuracy of weed detection. 2. Consistent Field Coverage: Uneven booms result in varying heights between the camera system and the ground. This inconsistency can create blind spots or areas with reduced image quality, causing weeds to be missed or misclassified. Proper leveling ensures uniform coverage across the entire spraying width. 3. Accurate Weed Recognition: The machine-learning algorithms used for weed recognition require consistent input to make precise decisions. A stable and level boom ensures the system can detect and classify weeds correctly, regardless of field conditions. 4. Efficient Spraying: With stable booms, the Smart Striker X can apply herbicides precisely where needed, reducing waste and avoiding overspray. This improves efficiency and minimizes the environmental impact of spraying operations.

Flow Control Modern sprayers, such as those equipped with advanced spot spraying technologies, rely heavily on effective flow control to ensure consistent performance. This is especially critical when multiple nozzles are turning on and off simultaneously within a short period. The Importance of Flow Control: 1. Maintaining Consistent Boom Pressure: When multiple nozzles activate or deactivate in quick succession, the boom’s pressure can fluctuate if the flow control system is inadequate. These pressure changes can: - Affect spray pattern uniformity. - Alter droplet size, reducing the accuracy of application. - Compromise the effectiveness of herbicides, fertilizers, or pesticides. 2. Ensuring Precise Application Rates: Accurate flow control ensures the sprayer delivers the correct dosage of chemicals at all times, regardless of how many nozzles are active. This precision reduces waste, saves costs, and minimizes environmental impact. 3. Stability Under Variable Conditions: High-speed operations, uneven terrain, and variable target densities can cause rapid changes in nozzle activity. A robust flow control system must respond dynamically to these variations, maintaining optimal pressure and flow rates without delays or overshoot. Key Technologies for Effective Flow Control: To achieve stable and reliable flow control, the following components and systems are essential: 1. Variable Rate Control Systems (VRC): These systems adjust the flow rate dynamically based on nozzle activity and field requirements, ensuring constant pressure. 2. High-Performance Pumps: Pumps with variable speed capabilities can modulate flow rates quickly to match real-time demand. 3. Pressure Regulation Valves: These valves stabilize pressure across the boom, compensating for changes when nozzles are activated or deactivated. 4. Flow Sensors and Feedback Systems: Real-time monitoring of flow rates allows the system to detect and correct fluctuations instantly. 5. PWM Technology Integration: Pulse Width Modulation not only controls nozzle output but can also work in tandem with flow control systems to maintain consistency across the boom.
