Are you concerned about how much you're spending on chemicals? Look no further than FieldCraft Technologies. This cutting-edge company is at the forefront of spot spraying, partnering with CarbonBee to bring state-of-the-art technology to agriculture sprayers.

If you've read this post you will be clued up on what spot spraying is and how Carbon Bees Smart Striker X can see and detect weeds in growing crops and bare soil. It can then decide in milliseconds to turn on individual nozzles to apply chemicals to selected weeds.

This post will go into more detail on some of the other modes available and in the works from Carbon Bee to further your return on investment.

The reason a lot of this is possible is because of the amazing camera technology on the Smart Striker X platform and the AI which accompanies all the images and decision making.

Because of this, the Smart Striker X has the capability of doing some amazing things with your sprayer (if your system allows it).

So let's get into it... what are we talking about here?

Spot Spraying - you know about this already, switching nozzles on and off based on what the system has seen. Full rate on or off. Simples!

Dual Spraying* - Spray a flat rate across the boom. When weeds are seen it increases the rate on those specific nozzles to target those weeds with a higher dose. Great for situations where a blanket application is desired but where weeds are seen a higher dose is required for effective kill.

Modulation* - This mode applies a dose-proportional to the target biomass. Each nozzle can go between a set high and low rate, effectively applying the correct dose based on weed size, making your sprayer more efficient in how it dispenses chemicals.

*note these modes are not available on all spray systems.

All of these modes are designed to help save you time with tank fills, water, wear and tear on your sprayer and chemical use.

Smart Striker X can also be used for fungicides! Keep an eye on the site for more information!

Up next we will be talking about the requirements for spot spraying.
